Jenna was standing in the street with a crumpled piece of paper in her hand.

She had seen her bus coming round the corner and had run for it but she wasn’t quick enough. She had an appointment. Now she’d be late.

It had been so hard to pick up the phone and phone the doctors surgery. The receptionist had been kind, reassured her she was doing the right thing by making the appointment. The weather was very cold and windy. She had missed the bus and is so upset. She had waited for the appointment for weeks for her son at the hospital. She started to feel very nervous.

Jenna wanted to go in a taxi but when she thinks about it she doesn’t have enough money in her bag. The time is going on and she is so late. Se calls the hospital but nobody is on the telephone.

She walks for 15 minutes to another bus stop on the main road. It is so crowded. She is having a bad day. She doesn’t know the address for the hospital. Her son is so tired and hungry. She doesn’t know where she is, it’s the first time she’s seen this street.

Jenna asks somebody else for the address but the lady is new in the area so she doesn’t know. She puts her hand on her head, she is feeling crazy now.

For two hours she wanders around. She is tired and the problem is she is also pregnant 31 weeks. Each person tells her they are not from there. She feels she can’t speak very good English.
